The Pole Pedal Paddle is a relay race with six legs that include alpine skiing/snowboarding, cross-country skiing, biking, running, kayaking and sprinting to the finish! You can do it all yourself or be part of team (or pair).
916 teams from across the nation participated in this year’s race. The top three finishers in each division win the traditional and coveted mug. Our Studio Manager, Kelly Vlach, has participated in the race for 8 years and is a three-time mug winner. Her team, Vlachness Monsters came in 3rd in their division this year with a time of 2:16:46.

Great book design is not all Paul Nielsen has been producing. Paul and a few of his friends have taken up the art of brewing on a slightly larger scale that that of a typical home brewer, brewing ten gallon “all-grain” batches about once a month. Living in the heart of the craft brewing mecca of Bend, Oregon which is home to fifteen breweries to date, we’re never been more excited about “Beer Fridays” here at the studio.
